This class will not go over the basics of FPP. It is for quilters that are already familiar with how to follow an FPP pattern. No previous design experience needed. This course is focused on creating patterns for personal use, not for creating patterns to sell, although you may use the same ideas if you want to sell your creations.

There are lots of software programs to design quilt patterns, but they all are limited and expensive. Affinity gives you all the flexibility of Adobe Illustrator for free. You can try to learn how to use it with YouTube videos, but I will give you the quilter’s shortcut.

With Affinity you can create quilt patterns from traditional to art quilts, and I will go over all the major quilting methods. This course is focused on creating patterns for personal use, not for creating patterns to sell, although you may use the same ideas if you want to sell your creations.
