Cover Girl

Last year I got a message from Brian Alexander, a professor of U.S. government and international relations in Washington and Lee University asking me if he could use my quilt American Gradation on the cover of his upcoming book about the US Congress, The Folkways of Congress. Of course I said yes. And this happened.

The book is a collection of essays from different authors about the current conflict in the US Congress, how norms have changed and whether it serves the American people. My answer is no. As I say in my quilt What’s the Use?
